00:11:30 A good cult to take a look at.

00:13:37 You're not someone that's willing to face your demons.

00:15:33 They wished you weren't there because you didn't fit the mold and and you you were supposed to fit the gifted and talented mode mold, but you were beyond the gifted and talented mode.

00:17:27 Looking for people to join his scam?
00:17:31 Now basically what his scam was.
00:17:34 Was, he said? Well, the reason why everything's so expensive when.

00:17:42 Is because you don't have the purchasing power.
00:17:46 Of a a big company.
00:17:50 So what if you join this group and we all?
00:17:55 Pool our resources together.
00:17:59 And then when we need to go buy something like ironing boards or or whatever, right.
00:18:05 We can all buy them all at the same time, so we get this really sweet deal on them and it gets it's really cheap and you just pay a membership fee.
00:18:14 And it's a win win.

00:18:25 That's not exactly a feasible plan. It didn't really work.

00:19:21 If someone tells you they've cracked the code and they've come up with some amazing plan idea that no one else has come up with and you have to listen to them and no one else, they're usually full of ****.

00:19:36 That's also usually a common attribute of these cult leaders.

We first told you about consumers buy line last May when the company was accused of being an illegal pyramid scheme that uses unfair sales practices to sign up new members. Tonight, consumer reporter Ursula Perry tells us some members of that multi level direct marketing.
00:20:19 Group now say consumers byline is not offering members all that had promised and they're leaving the company.
00:20:28 So after he was forced to pay some fines and I think he had to promise, I don't know how this is legal.
00:20:35 But I guess he had to promise not to.
00:20:37 Be involved in any kind of multi level marketing, anything ever again.
00:20:43 He decided. Well, I'm good at scamming people.
00:20:47 Well, I'm good at persuasion.
00:20:49 How else can I put these skills of persuasion at work to enrich myself?
00:20:55 And then maybe, I don't know, maybe he watched a a training video like this.
00:20:59 Don't you want devoted followers who leave their families for you? Give their money to you, give their bodies to you, give up their lives for you. Consider you God and will kill for you.

00:24:21 Right. Like so. For example, there was a a hierarchy, you know you had. He had to call the Guy Vanguard, which is kind of gay.
00:24:29 But everyone was kind of like, well, this is good. It's it's a good community. I don't mind paying to be part of this community.
00:24:37 I feel like my life is improving.
00:24:40 Since joining this community.
00:24:42 Now, of course, there was the.
00:24:46 The darker inner core, which we will, you know, we'll talk a.

00:24:49 Tonight, because not every not every call.

00:34:23 And so they fell for this Q Anon stuff.

00:34:27 People push this Q and on stuff.

00:34:32 Feeding on the desperation of the people that wanted to believe.

00:34:41 It worked exactly the same way as Nexium.
00:34:45 Oh yeah, pay me some money and I'll tell you this. Q Anon. Garbage is totally true. Trust the plan.
